Sunil is Country Head – Ethiopia and is responsible for managing the business development and project operations in Ethiopia. Additionally, he is responsible for Health, Nutrition, Education and WASH sector in East Africa.
He has over 25 years of work experience in India, Tajikistan, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, Egypt and UAE in streams of Program/Project Management, Communication for social change and developing and managing increasingly complex social development efforts. He is an expert in the field of social sector development issues focusing on children, women, adolescents and youth with a focus on gender and equity. He has previously worked with FHI 360 and with UNICEF in India, South Sudan and Tajikistan for over 12 years, spearheading a multi-level programme-wide approach - providing technical leadership, oversight and building capacity of government and non-government partners in designing and execution of effective strategies. Also, he was Director of a leading NGO in India for seven years and has worked with the Government of India for five years.
Sunil holds Masters in Sociology from Magadh University, India and a Masters in International Development from Ohio University, USA.
